Emburse Provides New Air, Lodge Capabilities Through Tripbam Tech

Emburse has launched integrated capabilities from Tripbam, including air contract auditing and hotel reshopping within the Emburse Go Premier app, the company announced.

With the air contract auditing capabilities powered by Tripbam technology—which Emburse acquired last July—Emburse can import customers’ airline contracts and audit bookings made by travelers to ensure they meet the contract terms, according to the company. The Air Contract Audit tool also can flag bookings of fares not available for discounts and highlight contract terms that are underperforming.

In addition, the integration has added “what if” capabilities to its Air Intelligence travel analytics tool, showing clients potential costs or savings of such policy changes as switching carriers or requiring premium economy instead of business class on international routes, the company said.

Emburse has added New Distribution Capability fares into its reshopping and analytics tool as well, the company announced. “With the continuing increase in airfares and airline migration to NDC, it’s more important than ever for organizations to optimize their costs and minimize wasteful spend,” Emburse travel division general manager and Tripbam founder Steve Reynolds said in a statement.

On the hotel side, the integration now allows travelers to reshop hotel stays within the Emburse Go Premier app, which was developed from Emburse’s acquisition of Roadmap, the company announced. The capabilities alert travelers when there is a better rate available at a booked hotel, and they can rebook within the app. It also alerts travelers when a comparable hotel is available at a lower rate, and travelers can set preferences, such as amenities or walkability, to fine-tune shopping offers to their own personal requirements.

Besides rate, the reshopping feature can notify travelers when rooms with a lower carbon footprint than their existing booking is available, based on the relationships their company has with hotels, according to Emburse.

The features are the official rollout of those demoed by Reynolds at the BTN Group’s Innovate event in New York last year.
