Emirates and Etihad Airways have signed a memorandum of understanding to expand their interline agreement and provide additional flight options for visitors to the United Arab Emirates, the airlines announced Thursday.
Beginning this summer, customers of each airline will be able to purchase a single ticket to fly into either Dubai or Abu Dhabi with a return from the other airport, according to the carriers. The new agreement also allows one-stop ticketing as well as multi-city flights, allowing different origin and return airports on both carriers’ networks.
For the initial stages of the expanded interline agreement, each carrier will focus on developing inbound traffic from “select points in Europe and China,” according to the carriers.
