Emirates on April 20 will add two weekly flights per week between Dubai and Toronto, the carrier announced Friday. The route is operated with Airbus A380 aircraft with 491 seats across first, business and economy classes. The additional flights represent a 40 percent increase in capacity on the route, according to Emirates.
“Business ties between Canada and the UAE have grown significantly over the years, and the expanded air services will help to further nurture business and trade,” Emirates chief commercial officer Adnan Kazim said in a statement. “Demand arising from leisure and corporate travelers, diaspora and students has consistently outstripped the allocated capacity.”
