Etihad Provides Three New Interline Companions

Etihad Airways has added new reciprocal interline partnerships with three airlines: Philippine Airlines, Austrian Airlines and Airlink South Africa, the carrier announced Tuesday. It also relaunched interline links with Biman Bangladesh Airlines and codeshare relationships with Air Seychelles and ITA Airways.

Customers of the involved airlines can connect to destinations across each other’s networks using a single ticket and need to check in only once at the start of their flights, with baggage checked through to their final destination.

Biman and Air Seychelles connections were affected by those airlines’ system migrations during the past year, according to Etihad. The ITA codeshare was restored after ITA’s migration in February to Amadeus Altéa, to which Etihad also recently transitioned

The interline and codeshare offerings will be progressively rolled out across Etihad sales channels in the coming weeks, according to the carrier.
