FCM is partnering with CAPA Centre for Aviation to pair
CAPA’s airline sustainability ratings data along with its own methodology to
help clients meet sustainability goals, the travel management company
announced.
FCM Consulting is tapping the
CAPA-Envest Airline Sustainability Benchmarking Report, which currently
ranks 100 airlines on 10 “sustainability parameters” that analyze
emissions performance across carriers’ entire network and operations. Envest
Global, the team behind the ratings, is led by David Willis and Brett Mitsch. Corporate
travel technology expert, Johnny Thorsen acts as the data firm’s strategic
advisor. FCM said it is the only global TMC to have access to the report’s
data.
The data enables FCM “to be a step ahead” in
emissions measurement for clients, according to FCM
Consulting sustainability lead Glenn Thorsen, with the ability to advise on
broader strategic decisions such as how to allocate the budget to airlines that
perform better in the index.
“In this rapidly evolving area, it is critical to be
able to access independently evaluated industry data pulled from credible,
audited reports,” Thorsen said in a statement. “Being able to tap
into a global airline sustainability rating system is invaluable and will form
the cornerstone of an already robust service offering that supports our clients
on their sustainability journeys.”
