Fernando Alonso farewells Enzo from his Ferrari previous

F1 racing driver Fernando Alonso is auctioning his 2011 Ferrari Enzo, which is expected to fetch at least €5 million (AU$8,233,942) later this month.

This is an early build Enzo, referred to as a Scocca N.1, and is painted in the Ferrari classic colour Rosso Corsa.

Ferrari only manufactured 399 examples of this model. It has a 6.0-litre V12 engine which produces 485kW of power and 657Nm of torque and is capable of 0-100km/h in 3.1 seconds.

MonacoCarAuctions, which is responsible for the sale, claims the vehicle has only 4800km on the odometer and comes with its original Ferrari Classiche certification.

The auction is set to take place on June 8 and features over 40 other Ferrari classics including a one-of-one 1972 Ferrari 365 GTC/4 ‘Beach Car’, and a 1988 Ferrari 328 GTS Koenig.

“We have a very special bond with Ferrari – not only as enthusiasts but as true experts of the brand,” said Laurent Blomet, founder and director of MonacoCarAuctions.

“Our inaugural auction in Monaco will see some of the Cavallino’s rarest and most special cars cross the auction block.”

“All at MonacoCarAuctions look forward to welcoming bidders online, and in the room in Monaco, for what promises to be an exceptional and exclusive sale.”

CarExpert recently had the chance to check out the iconic Enzo, along with a 288 GTO, F40, F50, and LaFerrari, in Melbourne ahead of the Australian Formula One.
