Ground transfer provider Talixo is providing content to FCM
Travel and Corporate Traveler worldwide via an expanded partnership with their
parent company Flight Centre Travel Group, the companies announced on Tuesday.
Talixo, which connects agencies and travel management
companies to ground transfer providers, already was working with Flight Centre
to provide pre-booked transfers for its corporate travel businesses in the UK
as well as its leisure travel division. With the expanded agreement, the
content—which includes airport transfers as well as point-to-point rides in
more than 1,100 cities around the world—is available in the global distribution
system for the two corporate travel TMCs globally.
Flight Centre said it expanded the service as airport
transfers are an “overlooked” part of business travel, with clients
often either having little control over their booking or being limited to a few
local operators in their key office locations.
“Business trips don’t start or end at the airport or
train station,” Flight Centre Travel Group global supply partnerships
manager Mandy Dunbier said in a statement. “Providing a true end-to-end
service not only gives our corporate clients confidence that their travelers
are receiving the best in duty of care, but it also makes their journeys easier
and less stressful, which in turn drives greater policy compliance, visibility
and cost control.”
