Former CWT Exec Jordan to Lead Product, Tech at Travelport

Travelport has hired former CWT executive Andrew Jordan as chief product and technology officer, the company announced.

In his role, Jordan will be responsible for shaping the travel technology company’s product and technology roadmap for this year and beyond, with an aim toward “driving digital transformation and creating scalable solutions that deliver tangible value,” Jordan said in a statement. He succeeds Tom Kershaw, who left Travelport last summer and works as chief technology officer for music rights management company BMI, according to his LinkedIn page.

Jordan most recently was chief technology officer at compliance and qualification testing provider Element Materials, and prior to that, he was CWT’s chief product and technology officer for nearly four years, where he “led the transformation of the $27 billion travel management company into a modern, digital-first platform business,” according to Travelport.

In addition to his work at CWT, Jordan also has had technology leadership roles at NBCUniversal and Thomson Reuters, co-founded software solutions and data science business Beyond Analysis and was CIO of Tesco’s data science division.

“Andrew’s deep expertise in running large-scale technology platforms and laser-focus on innovation will be instrumental as we continue to simplify the complexities of the travel industry,” Travelport CEO Greg Webb said in a statement.
