Montgomery County, Maryland, is not just a destination; it’s a journey through rich landscapes and culinary delights. In a recent video feature by FOX5DC, Executive Chef Luis Montesinos with The Crossvines whipped up a seasonal dish including a Fall Infused Salad featuring fresh apples, squash walnuts, and other ingredients from One Acre Farm and Lewis Orchards.
On FOX5DC’s Good Day Café segment, Chef Montesinos talked about how he uses locally sourced produce for the dishes prepared at The Bistro, located at The Crossvines in Poolesville, Maryland.
The Crossvines is a new winery, research farm, and golf course located in Montgomery County’s Agricultural Reserve. Since its opening date in July, The Crossvines has given a tranquil escape for weekenders and day trippers alike with stunning views and local artisan cuisine and wine.
Chef Montesinos showed the newsroom and viewers on TV how you can take simple vegetables and fruits and turn them into delicious farm-to-table meals at home.
