Southwest Airlines is offering a large discount on flights from the continental U.S. to the Hawaiian Islands for travel between December 2023 and May 2024. This 30% discount applies to flights purchased with either cash or points. All you need to do is use code “SAVE30” when booking.

Let’s say you want to spend a week in Honolulu in February. If you travel from Los Angeles International Airport (LAX), there are plenty of solid options, including many nonstop routes.
After you choose your dates, enter “SAVE30” in the promo code box.
You’ll see the discount reflected in all the fares. For this particular example, I found nonstop flights for just $118 each way. Normally, they would cost $158 each way.
The overall price for the round-trip journey would be about $236.
These prices apply to Southwest’s most basic Wanna Get Away fare. These tickets come with one carry-on bag and two checked bags. They are not refundable, but you can receive credit for the flight as long as you cancel at least 10 minutes before the flight’s original scheduled departure time.
Also note that the discount gets applied before the taxes and fees are included, and the sale doesn’t apply to inter-island travel.
