While rock climbing has long been a male-dominated sport, there’s no doubt that women climbers are among the strongest and most skilled crushers in the world.

From established legends like Lynn Hill and Catherine Destivelle to modern rock stars like Janja Garnbret, Ashima Shiraishi, and Katie Lamb — there’s no shortage of women sending headline-worthy rock climbs.

So, when boulderer Midori Buechli assembled an all-women’s team for bouldering at Texas’ world-famous Hueco Tanks, she and her fellow climbers immediately felt excited for a ladies-only outing. It’s the subject of the new documentary “Girls Gone Hueco.”

In the film, Buechli and four other female climbers “celebrate the fiery girl gang energy that naturally happens when you get a group of strong ladies together,” according to the video description.

It’s currently slated for various film festivals throughout the U.S. and Canada this fall. Check the website to find a screening near you.

Runtime: 1 minute
