Baking Tips for Great Cookies
Achieve Cookie Perfection with a Simple Trick:
One of my most trusted baking tools is a small cookie scoop with a release trigger. It helps create consistent, evenly sized cookies that bake uniformly. To make the scooping process even smoother, I keep a cup of water handy. By dipping the scoop in the water after each cookie, the dough releases each cookie effortlessly, preventing sticking and ensuring perfectly shaped hermit cookies every time.
Tip for Spice Variations:
If you don’t have allspice on hand, you can substitute it with equal parts ground nutmeg or cloves. While the flavor won’t be exactly the same, it will provide a similar warm, spiced note to your hermit cookies.
