Griffin Armament’s NEW Sportsman Ultra Light HD Hunting Suppressors
Griffin Armament has begun making suppressors specifically designed for hunters with the new Sportsman Ultra Light HD family of hunting suppressors. This family includes two suppressors as of now with the Sportsman Ultra Light HD .300 and the Sportsman Ultra Light HD .36. These new cans are made to be light for hunters who have to make long treks to find their quarry. While initially, aluminum was considered as a material choice for these suppressors, the development of laser welders along with Griffin Armaments tubeless suppressor design has made for the new Sportsman Ultra HD suppressors to have near titanium-weight while still being made of more durable and affordable 17-4 stainless steel.
Both the .30 cal and .36 cal models of the new suppressors come with a modified ECO-FLOW baffle stack for a medium-backpressure option that has been specifically tuned for the most common hunting calibers with bolt action and semi-auto firearms. Additionally, both are designed with an industry-standard 1.375×24 HUB mount interface threading that allows for use with any of Griffin’s HUB mount adapters, including direct thread inserts.

The Sportsman Ultra Light HD .36 can be configured with a booster assembly and piston for use on 9mm tilt-barrel pistols. The Sportsman Ultra Light HD .300 is rated for rifle calibers up to .300 RUM, and the Sportsman Ultra Light HD .36 is rated up to .338 Lapua Magnum and 9mm pistol cartridges. MSRP for the suppressors is $599.95 and $649.95, with both coming with Griffin’s Perpetual Lifetime Warranty.
