Togg breaks its ranking and volume records in September.
What’s not a surprise for the Turkish new light vehicle market in September? Another record! With sales up 55.9% year-on-year to 96,793 it’s a 9th high mark in as many months, beating the previous September all-time high of 90,619 established in 2020. The year-to-date tally is now up 63.7% to 852,075, needless to say this is a new best after 9 months. Fiat (+19.5%) significantly trails the market this month but at 16.1% share it still manages a respectable level vs. 16.7% year-to-date. Renault (+123.2%) is on fire at 12.1% of the market vs. 10.4% so far this year whereas Ford (-4.5%) struggles mightily at #3. Volkswagen (+28.7%) is a little soft in context while Chery repeats at a fantastic 5th place , this with only having been in market for 7 months. Instant blockbuster status. Peugeot (+65.3%) is the only remaining Top 10 manufacturer to beat the market. For its part local fare Togg advances to a new record 13th place, equalling its share record at 2.3% and signing an all-time best volume at 2,204.
