1 cup raw rice
1 medium onion, finely chopped
2 teaspoons salt
1 lb. ground beef
1/8 teaspoon cayenne pepper
1 cup diced, petite tomatoes
1 medium green bell pepper, diced
1 teaspoon chili powder
2 cups water
3 tablespoons olive oil

  1. Brown the ground meat in your skillet or pot and drain excess fat if needed.
  2. Then add the onion and green pepper to continue cooking until somewhat tender before combine the remaining ingredients.
  3. Cover and simmer for twenty-five to thirty minutes or until the rice is tender.
