Here is our first take a look at the brand new Tesla Mannequin 3’s rear

A photo posted to Twitter of the upcoming Tesla Model 3 facelift shows its narrowed tail light design.

Tesla appear to have slimmed both the brake lights as well as black and body colour-coded elements within the tail light section to form the new design.

The Model 3 facelift has been rumoured for some time now, thanks to an increasing amount of leaked images showing off its new headlight design and dashboard. This, however, is the first time we have seen a look at the rear.

Apparently codenamed Project Highland, the facelifted Tesla Model 3 is expected to receive a wave of new features inside and out. It’s unclear when the new model will be revealed, or when production will switch over from the current version.

Leaked images posted on Reddit show an updated sleek headlight design, and what appears to be the addition of an instrument cluster ahead the driver.

Photos posted to Twitter show anticipated new features like ventilated seats, an updated audio system and ambient lighting.

Tesla has confirmed it will no longer rely on ultrasonic sensors for its Tesla Vision System, instead solely turning to footage supplied by cameras around the vehicle to supply data.

Not A Tesla App reports the Model 3 will feature a single camera in the centre of its front bumper plus two new cameras, one on each side of the vehicle. The cameras will reportedly offer 5.0 megapixel camera quality.

It’s reported the new model will feature Tesla’s latest Hardware 4 technology.

Tesla CEO Elon Musk was recently in China visiting the Gigafactory which some speculated was to reveal the new model, however this wasn’t the case and Tesla China is remaining tight-lipped about the new model too.
