Hertz Hires A number of Former Delta Executives

Hertz has named former Delta Air Lines executive Sandeep Dube as its new EVP and chief commercial officer, effective July 22, the rental car company announced Monday. Dube will report to Hertz CEO Gil West.

Dube will oversee revenue management and pricing, corporate sales and strategic partnerships, customer experience, product development, loyalty programs, marketing and franchise, according to Hertz. He most recently was COO at Intuit Mailchimp, and prior to that was COO at Activision Blizzard and held senior leaderships positions at Delta, including SVP of revenue management and SVP of digital, loyalty, lounges and customer insights.

Hertz also has hired former Delta executive Henry Kuykendall, who spent 33 years at the carrier, as EVP of North America operations, where he will oversee airport and off-airport car rental operations across North America. Kuykendall, who will join Hertz “this month,” most recently was SVP of east airport operations for Delta, where he oversaw all operations at Boston Logan, Detroit, LaGuardia and John F. Kennedy airports, as well as Delta’s operations at 137 smaller airport locations across the United States. He also will report to West.

Greg May will join Hertz this month as EVP of fleet management. May has more than 35 years of experience managing commercial aviation fleet and supply chains, including leadership positions at Delta, Northwest Airlines and United Airlines, according to Hertz. He also founded aircraft leasing company Q Aviation and launched Valkyrie BTO Aviation, a commercial aircraft investment company for Blackstone, where he most recently was president and CEO.

Hertz named Mike Moore as EVP of technical operations, also beginning this month. He will lead fleet maintenance and previously worked at Delta and Northwest. Most recently he was EVP of spaceline technical operations at Virgin Galactic, according to Hertz.
