As we barrel into SHOT Show, Springfield Armory has announced a couple new handguns ahead of the show for us to tantalize over. They are the new 1911 DS Prodigy Compact pistols in 3.5″ and 4.25″ barrel offerings. Both of these variants will have a similar aesthetic as their full-sized counterparts that we already have come to know

Springfield Armory 1911 DS Prodigy Compact
The new Springfield Armory 1911 DS Prodigy Compact has an MSRP of $1,549.99 putting it in similar territory to the current 5″ models that Springfield offers. All of the specs concerning these pistols are listed below as presented by Springfield Armory:
