Hilton Debuts SME Enterprise Journey Program

Hilton Worldwide’s new rewards program for small and midsized businesses now is accepting “interested” clients, the hotel company announced Wednesday.

The news of the availability of Hilton for Business follows the hotel company’s original announcement in October, alongside plans for an in-person events program dubbed Small Meetings and Events Packages, which has yet to debut.

Through Hilton for Business, member SMEs gain access to “discounted rates” across Hilton’s global portfolio of more than 7,400 properties and can earn rewards and “milestone bonuses” through the Hilton Honors loyalty program, the company said.

Member companies earn 7,500 Hilton Honors bonus points following any program member’s first completed hotel stay, and 5,000 points after every 10 nights completed by a program member. Bonus points are retained within company accounts and “can be used to distribute to themselves and/or any member of their Hilton for Business program,” the company said.

Through Hilton for Business, SME travel administrators can register themselves and their companies through their own Hilton Honors account to utilize the program’s “self-service travel booking and management system,” the company said. Once registered, individual travelers can create individual business and personal travel profiles within their Hilton Honors account, “enabling seamless differentiation and management between the two profiles,” according to Hilton.

With that said, business owners will have full control” of the SME account and can “delegate program management to any number of administrators,” according to Hilton. Owners can also add employees to the program at any time.

Additionally, businesses within the program can “track their upcoming spend, review historical spend and understand the benefits accumulating as they travel,” according to Hilton.

With the launch of Hilton for Business, Hilton joins the ranks of other travel companies debuting or revamping SME business travel programs, including Marriott InternationalAmerican Airlines and Delta Air Lines.
