Hilton Hotels Corp. plans to expand in Puerto Rico with its debut of five brands, including its first Curio Collection, Hilton Garden Inn, Tapestry Collection, Tru and Homewood Suites properties to the region, the company announced Wednesday.
With “nearly 10 hotels in the development pipeline” in Puerto Rico, the expansion would nearly double Hilton’s current portfolio of seven properties in the region by the end of 2025, Hilton said in a statement. Once completed, Hilton’s portfolio in Puerto Rico would consist of 16 hotels across eight brands with nearly 4,400 rooms.
Alongside its plans for Puerto Rico, Hilton also plans to expand its Caribbean portfolio. With more than 25 hotels in the pipeline “in various stages of design and construction,” Hilton would effectively double its presence in the region, according to the company.
