2023 is a write-off in Pakistan with November sales down another -64.8% year-on-year to just 6,475 units. This brings the year-to-date tally down -63.6% to 76,402 vs. 209,749 through November 2022. These figures are from PAMA. Note Changan and Kia do not share sales data with PAMA but are reported to be quite successful here. Suzuki (-71.7%) falls faster than the market to 54.1% share, and it’s Honda (-48.6%) that manages the performance of the month by rising to #2 and 15.7% share vs. #3 and 12.8% so far this year. Toyota (-70.5%) is toppled to #3 while Hyundai (+48.5%) soars but holds 10.1% of the market vs. 11% year-to-date. Sazgar Haval (+26.3%) is also up.
The Suzuki Alto (-73.2%) remains by far the favourite new car in Pakistan with a round 30% share, better than the 25% it holds year-to-date. The Honda Civic is estimated to climb to 2nd place with 8% of the market, distancing the Suzuki Cultus (-58.7%) and Honda City (-39.6%). The Suzuki Ravi (-28.3%) resists ahead of the Toyota Corolla (-64.2%) and Yaris (-64.1%).
