One form of bean burgers or another is a staple at my house that I serve the family at least once a week as a healthier and thrifty meal. These black bean burgers are incredibly easy to make for a meatless meal, simple to shape up, versatile and utterly delicious. They are crispy on the outside and tender inside with spices, oats, potato flakes, onion, and eggs that give them a meat-like appearance with a scrumptious flavor that you won’t believe.
What else is wonderful about this recipe is how adaptable it is. You can enjoy them on a bun with crisp lettuce, a slice of cheese and your favorite condiments such as mustard and ketchup.
Another option is serving these black bean patties as your meat free entree along with vegetables and salad. These taste fantastic plain or topped with a dollop of sour cream. You can spoon on a tablespoon or two of spaghetti sauce or a velvety cream or cheese sauce.
Though I cook a lot with dry beans, black turtle beans are harder to soften after cooking compared to other beans. For this reason, I like to use canned black beans and mash them with a hand potato masher. It is quick, more convenient and reliable than wondering if you bought an old bag if the black beans fail to tenderize after hours of cooking.
If you have any of these gluten free bean cakes leftover, you’ll also love the fact that these meatless burgers reheat wonderfully in the microwave for a low-calorie protein fortified lunch.
Incorporating black beans into your diet can supply more energy, protein, fiber, and antioxidant capabilities that can better health with blood sugar reduction to their amazing array of bioactive components.
Therefore, I really wish that you print out my black bean burgers recipe and taste it because it can be a delectable and healthy addition to your menu while saving you money. I also love to make other recipes for black bean patties that you should check out as well.
