Hyatt Seems to Oracle for Property Administration System

Hyatt has selected the Oracle Opera Cloud as its property management system for more than 1,000 properties.

The move will help the company streamline operations and manage data as well as provide an improved experience for guests.

Cameron Hammond, senior vice president of global field technology services at Hyatt, in a statement said: “In today’s evolving environment, technology plays a critical role in empowering our colleagues so they can continue to deliver unforgettable experiences to our guests. By moving to Opera Cloud and extending our long-standing collaboration with Oracle, we will be able to provide our operators and colleagues with a modern, secure platform to deliver better data insights and elevate their roles with more ease and efficiency.”

The partnership will provide Hyatt with a modern data platform enabling properties to glean better insights at an individual as well as group level. The aim is also to provide guests with more personalized interactions at any time with Hyatt employees able to access the technology on mobile devices.

“With Opera Cloud as the secure data and service foundation of its operations, Hyatt will be able to scale its portfolio while providing owners, operators and colleagues the tools they need to deliver exceptional guest experiences,” said Alex Alt, executive vice president and general manager of Oracle hospitality and retail, in a statement.

The partnership also gives properties the potential to customize operations and access further functionality through the Oracle Hospitality Integration Platform. Hyatt announced a deal with Sabre a year ago to adopt the SynXis central reservation system as its main CRS from the beginning of this year.
