The International Air Transport Association during the first quarter of 2025 plans to launch a platform that will match airlines and sustainable aviation fuel suppliers, the organization announced Tuesday at its World Sustainability Symposium in Miami.
The platform will address three issues: connectivity, with SAF producers and suppliers able to post available volumes and any subsequent trades taking place outside the platform; visibility, with detailed information on the SAF available; and efficiency, making it “easier and faster for all parties to connect.”
Governments and non-aviation corporate SAF buyers also will be able to participate “in due course,” according to IATA.
