Legendary name in the fishing reel world VAN STAAL has announced four new models of the VSX2 sealed spinning reels at ICAST 2024. This includes a new bailess VS50BX2 the smallest and lightest VSX2 coming in at only 12 oz. The other three new VSX2 reels are new “high-speed” models; the VS150BX2F, VS200BX2F, and VS250BX2F. These all have a higher gear ratio giving them more line retrieve per crank of the reel with the smallest of the three capable of reeling in 38″ per turn. Just as before though these reels will continue to remain a benchmark for durability and reliability. All four of the new models of VSX2 reels are fully machined out of 6061 aluminum with a single-piece body and stem. The main shaft is made of titanium and the gearing is machined from stainless steel.
Finally, all the reels are fully sealed and 100% waterproof, so no worries of any water or sand intrusion ever happening. So be it plugging for striper off the beach, sight casting cobia from the pier or tower, or even wade fishing for speckled trout in the intercoastal, you can know these reels will hold up and chug along. The four new models of VAN STAAL reels will have an MSRP starting at $799.95 and going up to $889.95 depending on the model. They will be available in silver or black for color options and be available for purchase in Q3 of this year.
