Ironman 4×4 reveals rugged equipment for Toyota RAV4

Have you taken delivery of a brand new Toyota RAV4 and are wanting to make it look a little bit tougher?

Australian off-road accessory company Ironman 4×4 has revealed a range of add-ons for the in-demand RAV4 to “get [it] prepared for some serious outdoor excursions”.

The highlight of these upgrades is the ATS suspension kit that gives the RAV4 a 2-inch (50mm) lift front and rear, and costs $1568 excluding shipping and fitment.

This suspension lift kit comprises heavy-duty coil springs that are 13 per cent thicker than the standard set, as well as 20 per cent larger shock absorbers that have 55 per cent more oil for greater control and cooling efficiency.

If you get this suspension kit you can also legally upgrade the tyres to a 245/65 R17 semi off-road set that can help the vehicle’s comfort, capability, and reliability.

This isn’t the first road-oriented vehicle Ironman 4×4 has offered a suspension lift kit for. It currently also offers a similar setup on the Subaru Outback, Forester and XV.

The next accessory Ironman 4×4 is offering on the Toyota RAV4 is the ATS X bumper guard that costs $990 excluding shipping and fitment.

Although this alloy nudge bar provides only limited protection to the vehicle it features a 2mm steel skid plate that protects engine components.

It also has anchor points for a UHF aerial, as well as a 700mm long light bar or two 7-inch driving lights.

Ironman 4×4 is also currently offering Atlas crossbars that cost $499 excluding shipping and fitment.

These aluminium roof rail crossbars are capable of carrying up to 100kg regardless of what surface you’re driving on. There’s no specific off-road limit.

The Atlas crossbars have an integrated T-slot channel that allows for easy fitment of a wide range of accessories and tie-down points. Each end also incorporates a tie-down point.

The Toyota RAV4 is currently the third top-selling vehicle in Australia, following behind the Ford Ranger and Toyota HiLux.

The mid-size SUV range recently received various technology updates as well as price increases.

The RAV4 range currently starts at $36,550 before on-roads for the GX 2WD petrol, and extends to $55,150 before on-roads for the Edge AWD Hybrid.

As recently reported, ongoing production headaches are still causing a number of Toyota model wait times to balloon. Current RAV4 hybrid wait times are around 12-24 months.
