Kia as much as 28.7% share, locations 4 fashions in High 5 – Greatest Promoting Automobiles Weblog


The Kia Stonic is the best-selling vehicle in Cyprus in July and YTD.

Data by our local partners SEMO Cyprus and INNOSOFT show a Cyprus new car market surging 52.1% year-on-year in July to 1,685 units. This leads to a year-to-date tally up 28.7% to 9.319. Kia (+89.4%) vastly outpaces the market to 28.7% share vs. 20.1% so far this year and is followed like last month and YTD by Toyota (+40.4%). Hyundai (+148.6%) shoos up to 10.9% share vs. 7.6% YTD and overtakes Volkswagen (-47.1% – down to #7 this month) for the #3 spot YTD. Skoda (+211.8%), Audi (+203.2%) and Mercedes (+179.4%) also post surreal gains in the remainder of the Top 10. Below, Cupra (+766.7%), Mazda (+375%), Porsche (+245.5%) and Dacia (+183.3%) stand out.

Model-wise, the Kia Stonic (+291.7%) is up seven spots on June to return to the pole position it holds year-to-date with a 8.4% share for the month. The Toyota Yaris (+59.7%) for its part is up 8 ranks to #2 while the leader of last month, the Kia Rio (+3300%) ends the month in third place. The Kia Picanto (+84.3%) is up 13 spots to #4 while the Ceed (-34.3%) makes it four Kias in the Top 5. The Hyundai Tucson (+177.3%), Hyundai Kona (+300%) and Renault Captur (+900%) also shine further down.
