The Nissan Juke is up to #2 in Cyprus in May.
Data by SEMO Cyprus and INNOSOFT shows a Cyprus new car market up a fantastic 31.3% year-on-year in May to 1,712 units, bringing the year-to-date tally up 27.8% to 6,532. Kia (+77.2%) continues to easily dominate the brands charts with 19.6% share, distancing Volkswagen (+280.7%) at 12.7% and Nissan (+988.9%) up 10 spots on April to #3 with 11.4% share vs. 5.3% YTD. The rest of the Top 11 beat the market, with Mini (+1700%), Mercedes (+1090.9%) and Volvo (+491.7%) faring best.
Model-wise, the Kia Rio (+66.2%) ascends to the pole position for the first time this year with 6.6% share ahead of the Nissan Juke (+457.9%) up 18 ranks on last month to #2. Leader in April, the Kia Stonic (+75.9%) is down to #3 but still soars year-on-year and hold onto the YTD top spot. The VW T-Cross (+188.5%) makes its return in the YTD Top 20 thanks to a 4th place in May. The Mini Countryman also impresses at #5. Notice also the Volvo XC40 (+155%) up to #10 and the VW Taigo up to #11.
