With her signature smooth, velvety voice and an immersive soul-pop sound, Israeli-American singer iinz releases her new single Bottoms Up. The song is an empowerment anthem, born from moments of anger and overstepped boundaries.
“I spent years working for the founders of a company who didn’t see my worth even though I was keeping their business afloat. ‘Bottoms Up’ was born out of the anger I felt for the mistreatment and the fantasies I had about reclaiming my power and burning the place down on my way out. It’s about carrying someone else’s weight while not being valued, and that feeling is unfortunately quite universal, especially amongst women.” shares the singer-songwriter.
Bottoms Up follows an intense year for iinz, which included the release of Humble You, another self-love anthem focusing on standing strong against a partner who belittles and manipulates. The themes in Bottoms Up align with her single Our Story, a track written as a letter to a partner after repeated mistakes. Rather than seeking reconciliation, it aims to make her partner acknowledge their flaws as a form of self-empowerment.
While iinz has evolved significantly over the past four years since her debut EP Life in Two, she remains true to her artistic roots, exploring themes of love and personal growth through the introspective soul and alt-pop.
Originally from Los Angeles, iinz’s style showcases clear influences from artists like Björk, Imogen Heap, Fiona Apple, and Regina Spektor. Her music often combines pop and soul with hints of alternative genres like R&B and indie pop.
Linz’s work goes beyond creating music. She is deeply involved in Los Angeles’ cultural scene, organizing music-centered events across the city to bring art to as many communities as possible.
