The hot off-the-presses news is that the 2025 VW ID. Buzz will start at $59,995 in the U.S. We also now know that it will offer up to 234 miles of EPA estimated range. It’s also expected to hit U.S. Volkswagen dealerships before the end of 2024.
The 2025 ID. Buzz will come in three models, 11 exterior color options, and three interiors. It will also come in rear-wheel-drive (RWD) and all-wheel-drive (AWD).
2025 VW ID. Buzz Pricing & Range
The starting price of the 2025 ID. Buzz electric van is $59,995 for the base Pro S model. The top-spec 1st Edition starts at $65,495, with the mid-tier Pro S Plus starting at $63,495.
On a full charge, the RWD ID. Buzz models have an EPA-estimated 234-mile range. The 4Motion AWD models have an EPA-estimated range of 231 miles.
ID. Buzz Interior Options
Inside the 2025 U.S. market ID. Buzz, you get three interior options to choose from. On offer are Copper, Dune, and Moonlight.
Copper is said to give “mid-century modern vibes.” It has a washed wood-look dash, brown door cards, and brown leatherette seats with yellow piping.
Dune is said to be the “coastal-inspired” interior. It is the lightest of the three options, with a light wood-look dash, light gray door inserts, and leatherette seats, with clay-colored piping.
Moonlight is the darkest of the ID. Buzz interiors. It has a dark wood-look dash, blue door inserts, dark brown leatherette seats, and a black headliner.
ID. Buzz Model Options
For the 2025 model year, the VW ID. Buzz will be offered in the U.S. in three base configurations: Pro S, Pro S Plus, and 1st Edition.
Pro S
The Pro S model is RWD only. It has a second-row bench seat, so seating for seven. The second-row outside seats are even heated. The ‘Buzz Box’ removable center console lets you configure the interior a bit more to your needs.
The front two seats are memory 12-way power heated and ventilated, with dual armrests, and even massage. The driver also gets a heated steering wheel.
As you’d expect from a modern electric vehicle, the interior is well-appointed with the latest tech. This includes a 12.9-inch infotainment display and 5.3-inch ID. Cockpit digital instrument cluster. This base model ID. Buzz gets a nine-speaker audio system. VW recognizes that charging your electronic accessories is important and has included; wireless phone charging, 8 45W USB-C ports, a 150W 110V passenger seat outlet, and a 12V trunk outlet.
Only a single color paint job — versus two-tone — will be offered on the Pro S models. Specifically, only Candy White, Deep Black Pearl, and Metro Silver are available. Also, only Copper and Moonlight interiors will be available. Also, 20-inch alloy wheels are standard.
Pro S Plus
Of course, the Pro S Plus model is built upon the base Pro S. It can be spec’ed in RWD (starting at $63,495) and 4Motion AWD (starting at $67,995). On RWD models, bench seating is standard, with captain’s chairs being optional. On AWD models, captain’s chairs and a heated windshield are standard.
Pro S Plus will be available in two exterior colors — Candy White and Deep Black Pearl — but will be offered with a choice of any of the three interiors — Moonlight, Dune, and Copper. For an extra $995, you can option the Pros S Plus on eight two-tone exteriors, however. These include a Candy White top with Cabana Blue, Blue Charcoal, Energetic Orange, Indium Grey, Mahi Green, Metro Silver, or Pomelo Yellow below; or a Metro Silver top with Cherry Red below.
The dual power-sliding rear doors and tailgate get Easy Open and Close. Inside the Pro S Plus you’ll get a 14-speaker, 700W Harman Kardon sound system and a head-up-display (HUD).
Options on the Pro S Plus include a Flexboard with two fabric storage bins that create a flat floor when the seats are folded. Also available is a a hidden tow hitch that is manually retractable. For $1,495, you can also option an electrochromic panoramic smart glass roof, which changes from transparent to opaque with the swipe of a finger.
1st Edition
The all-in top dog 1st Edition 2025 ID. Buzz will start at $65,495 for RWD and $69,995 for AWD versions.
It is only available in the Dune interior. All 1st Edition models come with a Candy White top two-tone paint scheme. Five body colors are available: Cabana Blue, Energetic Orange, Mahi Green, Metro Silver, or Pomelo Yellow.
The 1st Edition vans will come with unique 20-inch wheels, roof rail cross bars, and 1st Edition exterior badging.
Inside it gets “heritage-inspired” floor mats. The RWD model gets a rear bench, while the AWD is only offered with captain’s chairs.
