Today, Liv leverages its brand equity by addressing a younger audience with Faith, its first full-suspension youth mountain bike range. Liv Faith and Faith 24 Frames
Liv states that the two ALUXX SL aluminum frames harness a kid-specific geometry and suspension tuned for lighter-weight and smaller pilots. The larger Faith frame uses a mullet wheel configuration, with a 27.5-inch front wheel paired with a 26-inch rear wheel. The smaller Faith 24 has a pair of 24-inch wheels. Liv designs both frames to use the parent company’s Giant TRA Wheelsystems.
The Liv Faith two-bike line calms the chatter with linkage-driven, single-pivot rear suspension. This FlexPoint system provides 135mm of rear wheel travel for Faith and 130mm for Faith 24. Liv states that the single-pivot design sheds complexity, enhances durability, and delivers confidence while climbing due to improved rear wheel traction. A Crest Flo Trac Lite shock graces both Faith bikes.
Both Faith models feature a version of a 140mm Crest suspension fork tuned to follow the FlexPoint rear suspension optimization for smaller and lighter riders.
Component Selection
Liv selects components to complement the lightweight ALUXX SL aluminum frames to keep bike weight manageable for younger, smaller, and less powerful youth riders. And component proportions match smaller rider dimensions. Kid-specific cranks, brake levers, and a Contact Switch AT Lite dropper seat post help younger mountain bikers manage climbs and descents with confidence.
The Giant TRA wheels harness WideGuard technology, which Liv claims creates lighter and stronger rims that allow lower tire pressures without risk of damage. This aids in traction for lighter-weight riders. High-volume tubeless tires complete the wheel package, which should complement the suspension to deliver a cushier ride.
Finally, the Faith 24’s smaller wheels cater to smaller riders by allowing a shorter standover height and easier maneuverability. This will help progress skills and confidence as they grow.
