Lufthansa on May 1 will launch its new Allegris cabins for long-haul routes on flights between Munich and Vancouver, Canada, the carrier announced Tuesday.
The second destination for the new cabins will be Toronto, “which will be served alternately with Vancouver on selected flights during the first few months,” according to the carrier. Flights will operate with Airbus A350 aircraft, and as more planes are delivered, the Allegris cabins also will be offered this summer on flights to Chicago and Montreal, according to Lufthansa.
Allegris is part of the largest product and service overhaul in Lufthansa Group’s history, with a total investment of €2.5 billion by 2025, according to the company. The “experience” includes new first-class cabins and business-class cabins with multiple seat types, among other upgrades.
Passengers can see whether a flight is equipped with the Allegris product three weeks prior to departure, according to Lufthansa.
