Lufthansa Group’s newest airline, Lufthansa City, is set to launch this summer with service to nine destinations from Munich, the company announced Tuesday.
Lufthansa City will serve Berlin, Bremen, Cologne, Düsseldorf, Hamburg and Hanover in Germany, as well as Birmingham and Manchester in the United Kingdom, and Bordeaux in France. Tickets will be available for sale beginning in April.
Lufthansa City has received two Airbus A319s and has on order 40 Airbus A220-300 aircraft with another 20 options available. Following the launch of service this summer, the airline will “gradually expand its network and offer further destinations in Europe,” according to the carrier.
