Ride-hailing provider Lyft has named former Charles Schwab & Co. executive Erin Brewer as its new CFO, effective July 10, the company announced Tuesday. Lyft chief accounting officer Lisa Blackwood-Kapral will serve as interim CFO until that date. Brewer will replace Elaine Paul, who is leaving Lyft but will remain as an advisor until Nov. 30.
Brewer from May 2020 to October 2022 served as managing director of enterprise finance at Charles Schwab, according to Lyft. Previously, she worked at Atlassian and McKesson. Paul had been CFO since January 2022.
The executive move comes a few weeks after Lyft announced plans to lay off 26 percent of its workforce and about a month after David Risher took the CEO reins.
