When it comes to nonstick cookware, I’m a Caraway evangelist. As a product tester who’s had the privilege of testing hundreds of kitchen gadgets and cooking sets, Caraway has continued to be my No. 1 favorite brand for nonstick cookware. The brand won my heart a few years ago when I first tested its 7-piece cookware set, and I’ve been a loyalist ever since.

So, when I was granted the opportunity to test a piece from Made In Cookware’s new CeramiClad collection, I was skeptical it would impress me as much as my beloved Caraway set. Boy, was I wrong.

Find my full review of the Made In Cookware CeramiClad Frying Pan ($145), the *only* pan that’s gotten me to ditch my Caraway bbs (at least for now ;).)

About Made In Cookware

Made In Cookware has quickly risen to the top of the kitchen must-have list thanks to its high-quality craftsmanship and professional-grade materials. Co-founded by a family with over a century’s experience in the kitchen supply business, Made In stands out by combining heritage craftsmanship with modern, chef-approved innovations. Its direct-to-consumer approach cuts out the middleman, so you get premium stainless steel, carbon steel, and non-stick cookware at a fraction of what you’d pay for other high-end brands. Plus, it’s made in the United States with the world’s highest US and EU food safety factors in mind.

Its new CeramiClad collection marries the durability of stainless steel with the ease of nonstick. Each piece is clad with five layers of stainless steel (to distribute heat evenly and quickly) coated with a 100% non-toxic ceramic coating for an ultra-slick cooking surface. Unlike traditional non-stick pans that degrade quickly, the CeramiClad pans are built for longevity with a highly durable surface that can withstand everyday use. With the added benefit of being oven-safe up to 550°F and safe to use across all stove tops (even induction!), this collection makes it easier to cook like a pro with minimal cleanup.

What I love

It’s lightweight

Before I even cooked anything with my 12-inch Frying Pan, I noticed how lightweight it was. My Caraway set is on the clunkier side, and this thing feels like a feather compared to it. It feels incredibly comfortable (and cool) in my hand, whether I’m flipping pancakes or transferring a seared steak from the stovetop to the oven. The weight makes cooking less of a chore and more enjoyable, especially when you’re moving dishes around or preparing large meals. (Your wrists will thank you!)

It’s versatile

What truly sets this pan apart is its versatility. I’ve used it for everything from frying eggs and searing salmon to baking chicken and even making smaller one-pan dishes. It handles all types of cooking tasks with ease and gives consistent, excellent results every time.

That’s largely due to its hefty clad construction, which boasts five layers of metal on a stainless steel base. But unlike traditional stainless steel pans, there’s no tricky learning curve. The CeramiClad coating eliminates the need for tons of oil and takes the guesswork out of temperature control. Whether you’re preparing a quick weeknight dinner or a more elaborate meal, the CeramiClad Frying Pan is up for the job.

It’s *so* easy to clean

The real magic happens when it comes to cleaning up—it’s so effortless to rinse off. This is where I’ve shrugged off non-Caraway nonstick pans in the past but I can confirm: Made In Cookware Ceramiclad is just as easy to get squeaky clean. Even after cooking sticky sauces or scrambling eggs, everything just slides right off with a quick wipe or rinse. It’s a total time-saver and eliminates the need for scrubbing or soaking—just a little soap and water, and it’s like new again.

What I don’t love

It’s not dishwasher-safe

Made In Cookware recommends you hand wash your CeramiClad pans and avoid putting them in the dishwasher. This isn’t a huge deal for me since I tend to hand wash most of my fancy cookware anyway (and it’s so easy to clean), but having the option would be nice.

There is no matching lid

I was disappointed to find that there was no matching lid for this pan. Thankfully, I have extra 12-inch lids I can put on top when I want to retain heat or steam food, but I do wish there was a matching CeramiClad top for my pan.

Final thoughts

It’s going to take a lot to break me up with my Caraway cookware for good, but Made In’s CeramiClad collection has earned itself a permanent spot in my rotation. Its lightweight, durable design holds up to even the messiest, most complicated meals and makes cleaning up easy, dare I say enjoyable.
