Make 2025 Your Year of Organization with Lockdown

I’ll be the first to admit, I’m not big on New Year’s resolutions. I have always felt that there is no better time to start a project or lifestyle change than the day I dream it up. For 2025, my big dream is to be better organized when it comes to my firearms, gear, and ammo. To set myself up for success, I tapped in to an incredible system sold by Lockdown called the SecureWall.

The SecureWall system takes your boring gun room or storage area and turns it in to your own John Wick style armory. From the second I installed the SecureWall system I knew this was going to be a long term change in the way I keep my gear organized. From design to set up, the SecureWall system was incredibly easy to implement. I’ll walk you through how I decided on what to buy and also how I set it up for my own personal needs.

First off, you may think that designing the storage solution of your dreams is something that will be challenging. Let me tell you, it was not only easy to do, but it was actually a lot of fun. Lockdown built a very user friendly web application, the SecureWall Builder, that allows you to input the dimensions of the area you are building out and design from there. Each of the SecureWall accessories are available in the builder and you can actually pick and choose the hangers, baskets, and bins that you want to buy.

Once you have designed your dream system, you can simply click the buy now tab and the builder has already done the hard work by adding everything you chose to a pre-populated list that can be added to your cart with the click of a button. As far as online shopping experiences go, I have never encountered a product builder that functions this smoothly and effectively. Lockdown clearly doesn’t want to waste your time, they want you to be able to design, order, and build which is exactly what I did!

I chose a wide variety of accessories because I have a wide variety of gear in my collection. I would say my primary passion is big game hunting but I also enjoy the more tactical side of things as well. I’ve collected various bolt guns, hand guns, shotguns, and AR-15’s and AR-10’s. What I’m sure most of you know is that the more firearm platforms you have, the broader your accessory collection becomes. I was honestly really happy to see just how many variations of hangers that Lockdown offers to organize my collection.

Let’s break down the list of everything I utilized for my system!

SecureWall – Standard Panel & Heavy Duty Panel

These panels are the base for the entire system and Lockdown offers 3 different sizes in their standard panels and two sizes for their heavy duty panels. If you are going to focus on displaying firearms the standard panels will be perfect. Once you jump in to ammo and other heavier items, it is recommended by Lockdown to layer in some heavy duty panels into your system.

Each panel comes with mounting hardware which was really simple to install. You will need to be able to locate the studs in your wall which is honestly the most “difficult” part of the entire process. Once you have identified your stud locations, you simply screw the included hardware in to the wall through the panels directly in to the wall and you are done. If you did the work of effectively measuring your space prior to ordering your panels, you should not have any issues hanging 10-20 panels in an hour or so.

SecureWall AR-10 Hanger

I mentioned this before but I was so happy with the product variations that Lockdown offers for this system. I have a few different AR-10’s that I use primarily for trips down to Texas to hunt hogs. I used one of the AR-10 hangers with my 6.5 Creedmoor AR-10 made by Savage Arms. I really love this rifle and it was one that I wanted to have on display. The hanger operates like a dummy magazine that you slide your rifle on to. The hanger also gives you the ability to adjust the hanging orientation between a horizontal display or a vertical. I chose the vertical for this rifle.

SecureWall AR-15 Hanger

The SecureWall AR-15 Hanger is the baby brother of the AR-10 hanger. It functions identically allowing you to adjust the orientation and utilizes the firearms magwell to secure it to the wall.

SecureWall Gun Lock

Adding the SecureWall Gun Lock to my setup brought some additional peace of mind to my set up. It’s straightforward to use and install. The lock comes with a mounting peg that functions in a similar manner to an M-Lok accessory for a rifle rail. You simply insert the peg in to the wall panel and as you tighten it, there is a cross bar that will rotate and seat behind the panel. From there you feed the lock through the peg and then the trigger guard of your firearm and you are locked and secure!

SecureWall Bin Hanger (2-Pack)

I was surprised by how much the SecureWall Bin Hangers streamlined my storage system. These little bins are perfect for organizing loose ammo and small tools that would otherwise end up scattered everywhere. I ended up stuff all sorts of accessories for my suppressors and scopes in to these bins and I am going to be adding more to my system in the very near future.

SecureWall Pistol Mag Rack

I never thought organizing my pistol magazines could be this easy until I tried the SecureWall Pistol Mag Rack. These racks are compact, functional, and make organizing the various mags I have so simple. I primarily shoot Glock’s and have 9mm and 10mm variations and also compact and full size variations. Glock mags all look the same and I can finally set them in to their own racks and spend a bit less time sorting through them when I pack out for the range.

Final Thoughts

The SecureWall system has completely changed how I store and organize my firearms, gear, and accessories. From the moment I started designing my setup with their easy-to-use SecureWall Builder, I knew this was the right move. It’s not just about storage—it’s about having a system that makes everything feel organized and accessible. The panels and accessories were simple to install, and the variety of options meant I could customize my setup exactly how I wanted. Now, everything has its place, and I can finally enjoy a space that works for me.

What I like most about the SecureWall system is how flexible and reliable it is. It’s not just about keeping your gear safe; it’s about making your space work better for you. Whether you’re just starting out or you’ve been collecting for years, this system makes it easy to keep things organized and looking great. If you’re thinking about upgrading your storage, I’d definitely recommend checking it out, it’s worth it.
