Market surges 61.6%, Renault Clio dominant, MG ZS in Prime 10 – Finest Promoting Automobiles Weblog

The MG ZS scores its first Top 10 (and Top 20) finish in Croatia.

6,274 new cars found a home in Croatia in March, a tremendous 61.6% year-on-year surge. The Q1 volume is up 35.7% to 13,247. Renault (+315.8%) multiplies its year-ago volume by 4 to take the lead with 11.7% share. Two percentage points of share below we find Volkswagen (+83.6%) which remains #1 year-to-date, while Opel (+70.2%) ensures the entire podium outpaces the market as it soars 12 spots on February to #3. Skoda (+56.4%) and Kia (+25.6%) are a little shyer below. Suzuki (+200.8%) and Audi (+124.4%) also shine in the remainder of the Top 10 just as MG gains four ranks on last month to a record #13 with 2.5% share.

Model-wise, the Renault Clio (+550.8%) posts a surreal lift to remain in the lead both for the month and year-to-date (it ranked #9 over the Full Year 2022). Strikingly, all Top 7 models more than double their sales year-on-year. The Suzuki Vitara (+344.7%) is the most dynamic followed by the Suzuki SX4 S-Cross (+218.8%) up 10 spots on last month to #3, the Kia Sportage (+213.7%) also up 10 ranks to #7, the Opel Corsa (+206.3%) and Crossland (+173.4%), both up from outside the February Top 20 directly into 2nd and 4th place respectively, and the Skoda Octavia (+115%). It’s a first Top 20 and Top 10 finish for the MG ZS directly up to #10, and first Top 20 for the Renault Austral at #16. Notice also the Cupra Formentor back inside the Top 20 at #20.
