Mazda Australia particulars provide ranges throughout key fashions

Mazda Australia has indicated it has “plentiful” stock across several key model lines, including the BT-50 ute as well as the CX-5, CX-8 and CX-9 SUVs.

Speaking with media, Mazda’s local boss Vinesh Bhindi said the Japanese brand is targeting 100,000 local sales in 2023, and hopes that good supply of these models will help reach that goal.

“We continue to have plentiful inventory of BT-50, CX-5, CX-8 and CX-9 in particular. All on the ground and available for immediate delivery across our dealer network” Mr Bhindi said.

“As a preferred market for Mazda globally, we came into 2023 in a reasonable stock position, which has allowed us to fulfill customer orders faster than market expectations. We will also be replenishing our stock with more scheduled arrivals in the coming weeks, barring any local port congestion or delays.”

Mr Bhindi noted the CX-5 and BT-50 have broken sales records in recent months, with the CX-5 exceeding its previous monthly record in February by 10 per cent (2600 units), while the BT-50 set an all-time record in June (558 4×2 + 2022 4×4).

The BT-50 was even Mazda’s top-seller in June, with its 2560-unit effort placing it seventh overall and third in the dual-cab ute segment behind the Toyota HiLux and Ford Ranger.

Year to date, the Mazda brand is up 1.0 per cent on 2022 though it has battled some shipment delays in recent months, hence Mr Bhindi’s mention of “local port congestion”.

Mazda’s June result was a 55.4 per cent uplift on 2022, however, with strong performance across the line-up.

Mazda is also adding new products this year. The CX-60 just arrived, while the larger CX-90 is due in August.

The once top-selling Mazda 3 small car will be seeing a rolling tech update arrive imminently, while the facelifted Mazda 2 range will officially launch in September though is available to order now.

An updated CX-30 crossover is expected to follow the related 3 in the coming months, and the unrevealed CX-80 has also been confirmed for our market – though probably won’t arrive until 2024.
