Mercedes-Benz Reveals Up to date 2024 GLA, GLB Together with AMG Fashions

Mercedes-Benz has revealed the revised 2024 GLA and GLB crossovers. The pair received many of the same updates, including revised front fascias and new standard LED headlights. Mercedes also upped the level of standard equipment on both.

New grilles adorn the two crossovers, with the GLB getting a more rugged front bumper with visual underbody protection. A new Spectral Blue Metallic paint and new wheel designs in 18- and 20-inch sizes are available for both.

The 2024 GLA and GLB crossovers will arrive with two 10.25-inch screens on the dash as standard. Wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto are included, with Mercedes upholstering the steering wheel in Nappa leather. The AMG Line is available with a heated steering wheel for the first time in both models.

The GLA220, GLB250 4Matic, GLB 250, and GLB250 4Matic all pack the same turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine with a new mild-hybrid system. It makes 221 horsepower and 258 pound-feet of torque. The second-generation belt-driven starter-generator provides a temporary 13-hp boost in certain driving conditions.

The design updates also apply to the AMG variants, which receive front fascias with the new styling. The AMG emblem is now on the hood, with the automaker fitting revised LED headlights and taillights on the two crossovers. Inside, the pair get the newest-generation AMG Performance steering wheel and the company’s latest MBUX software.

The company’s turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine makes the same 302 horsepower and 295 pound-feet of torque as before. The second-gen starter-generator also provides a temporary 13-hp boost in the AMGs. Mercedes says the AMG GLA35 will reach 60 miles per hour in an estimated 5.1 seconds. The AMG GLB35 is 0.3 seconds slower. Both feature AMG’s eight-speed dual-clutch transmission and 4Matic all-wheel drive.

The 2024 Mercedes-Benz GLA and GLB and their AMG variants will arrive at US dealers later this fall. The automaker has not revealed the starting price for the updated models, but we should receive that information when it’s closer to their on-sale date. The 2023 GLA and GLB start at $38,650 and $40,095, respectively (prices include the $1,150 destination charge).
