Gordon Ramsay is known for making an idiot sandwich, but this grilled cheese sandwich is pure genius.
In a TikTok video, Gordon Ramsay enlists the help of his most expensive kitchen appliance yet: an Aston Martin Valkyrie.
Aston Martin has limited production of the Valkyrie to just 150 examples, with each costing around A$3.8 million.
The supercar has a 6.5-litre V12 petrol engine that produces 850kW of power and 925Nm of torque, with a top speed of 355km/h.
The TikTok video starts with Mr Ramsay looking to redeem his last attempt at a grilled cheese sandwich which he claims fans “pummelled” him for.
After introducing the supercar, Mr Ramsay lays down what appears to be two already toasted pieces of bread and layers up to 10 slices of cheese.
He then wraps the sandwich in foil before putting it on top of the V12 engine and closing the bonnet.
“Ready? Here we go, now this is how you do a grilled cheese,” he says in the video.
Mr Ramsay jumps into the Valkyrie and takes the supercar for a drive on the track hitting speeds of up to 257 km/h.
The video then cuts to the chef getting out of the car after a few hot laps, and walking around to the bonnet to see the final result of his grilled cheese sandwich experiment.
He takes the foil-wrapped sandwich out from under the hood and shows the camera layers of melted cheese in between the slices of bread.
It”s unclear how the toasted sandwich tasted but based on Mr Ramsay’s facial expressions it appears it was better than his last attempt in Tassie.
