I make completely different and delicious types of banana bread that are unique. This banana bread with sour cream is extra moist with chocolate chips and walnuts that it will become a favorite. Since I can’t keep something so delectable to myself, let me share this recipe with you.
You’ll be happy to also learn that this is another easy recipe to make. It is just mixing moist ingredients with the dry ingredients and mashed bananas before later stirring in the chips and walnuts last. In fact, you can use an electric mixer or just a fork to combine. The reason is I use the canola oil that helps save time just by mixing the wet ingredients well.
Give my banana bread a try the next time that you have ripe bananas and want to know what to do with them. I promise that you’ll fall in love with this recipe once you taste how tender and tasty it is with how the chocolate and walnuts merge against the bananas and sour cream.
Banana Bread With Sour Cream
1 ½ cups of sifted flour
1 teaspoon of baking soda, leveled
4 tablespoons of sour cream
½ cups of canola oil
3/4 cup of sugar
2 large eggs
1 cup of mashed ripe bananas (about 2 or 3 bananas)
1 cup of chocolate chips
½ cups of chopped walnuts
1 teaspoon of vanilla
In a small mixing bowl, add the sour cream and mix in the baking soda. Stir until smooth.
In a large mixing bowl, add the oil, sugar, vanilla and eggs. You can use an electric mixer or just a fork to well combine.
Now stir in the sifted flour, mashed bananas, and sour cream mixture to the ingredients in the large mixing bowl and thoroughly mix together.
Add the chocolate chips and walnuts last.
Pour into two well-greased small loaf pans (about 7 x 3 x 2″) or one regular loaf pan.
Bake at 350-degrees for about 30 minutes if using the small loaves and about 45 to 55 minutes for one large loaf. Test with a cake tester or slender knife to see if anything sticks.
ENJOY!
