You may have heard that JetBlue recently made Amsterdam its third European destination.
The New York-based carrier will launch service to Amsterdam Airport Schiphol (AMS) from John F. Kennedy International Airport (JFK) on Aug. 29. So what does this mean for travelers?
Cheap fall flights to the Dutch capital are available, starting at $475 for economy and $1,894 for the much more luxurious JetBlue Mint.

Say you want to take a weeklong trip to Amsterdam at the end of September. You can depart New York City at 10 p.m. on Sept. 27 (hopefully) sleep on the plane, and land in Amsterdam at 11:35 a.m. Sept. 28.
After spending almost a week biking along the beautiful canals, eating stroopwafels and visiting museums, you can head back to New York at 1:35 p.m. and land at 4 p.m.
These flights are for the Blue Basic fare, which allows a passenger to bring one carry-on bag since it’s a transatlantic flight. A checked bag costs $65 each way.
As you can see in the above images, Mint seats are available on the same flights for a higher price. The total round-trip journey will cost $1,893.75.
