Norse Atlantic Names Duncan President

Charles Duncan

Long-haul startup airline Norse Atlantic Airways has named former United Airlines and WestJet executive Charles Duncan president, a newly created role, the carrier announced Thursday. The appointment is effective immediately.

Duncan has more than 25 years of industry experience with additional stints at Continental Airlines and Swoop, according to the company. For Norse Atlantic, Duncan will “focus on core areas of the business including commercial, operations, network and people,” according to the carrier.

Launched in 2021, Norse Atlantic primarily operates transatlantic service on Boeing Dreamliner 787 aircraft.

“I look forward to working closely with Charles as we continue to focus on profitability by year-end by continuing to build a robust network and organisational structure,” Norse Atlantic CEO Bjørn Tore Larsen said in a statement.
