In preparation for the coming winter and ice fishing season, Northland Fishing Tackle has brought out possibly the new king of spoons for fishing the hard water. The new Tungsten Buck-Shot Rattle Spoon. Building upon their legacy of previous iterations of buck-shot rattle spoons, Northland has brought the ultra-dense material tungsten into the equation. This new design combines all the benefits that you get from tungsten with the benefits and action you get from a Buck-Shot Rattle Spoon. Just like the previous rattlespoon designs, this one comes with a brass chamber with internal bearings that produce the classic fish-attracting ticks, thumps, and clicks. The big difference is the new tungsten body. Tungsten is 70% denser than lead, this makes for a quicker sinking and more sensitive spoon. Additionally, this allows the spoons to be downsized to target pickier fish. The Tungsten Buck-Shot Rattle Spoon is 30% smaller than its lead counterparts.
Cosmetically, the spoon sports a new refined look with forged-in scales and gill details. These raised features add extra reflection and shimmer as you work the spoon. The Tungsten Buck-Shot Rattle Spoons are available in 12 different patterns, seven of which have Northland’s Super-Glo phosphorescent treatment, and all of them sport the signature red “T” eyeball. All of the spoons come with an ultra-sharp red treble hook. These spoons are available in three weights, 1/8-, ¼-, and 3/8-ounce, and have an MSRP of $9.99 a spoon.
