Colt is bringing back another one of their famous “snake” guns this year at NRAAM 2024 with the Colt Viper. Originally only produced for one year back in 1977 this rare snake is back to for those looking for a concealed carry revolver. This redesign has been made to meet the needs of modern shooters looking for a streamlined revolved option. The Viper boasts a 1/2 lug barrel and the design has been went over with a fine-toothed comb to reduce weight while not compromising on performance and quality. The new Colt Viper has a full-sized frame forged from stainless steel for a guarantee of strength and durability for a long time to come. Leaving no doubts about the shooting experience and reliability of this Colt revolver.
The barrels for the viper are going to be available in two lengths, a 3″ or 4.25″ option. both of which feature a 1:14” Left-Hand Twist and 6-groove rifling. They are a one-piece construction with a recessed target crown for optimal accuracy and performance with each shot. The sights are a rear U-notch and a black front ramp for a snag-free draw. For Colt collectors who have been looking to fill out their Colt “Snake” collection, this is a very welcome option with an MSRP of $999. These concealable revolvers should be shipping later this summer.
