The Spyderco Paramilitary 2 is an icon of hard-use knives. Arguably one of the best overall folding knives you can buy for general outdoor and tough tasks, it has legions of fans.
Sure, this knife has been around for a while. Our tester reviewed it back in 2015. But at the time, he picked it as the one knife he would choose above all others if he only got to pick one, forever. Which is really saying something, especially here at GearJunkie.

I’d argue S45VN is ideal for a hard use knife because it combines great edge retention with excellent toughness and corrosion resistance. For a knife meant to be abused as much as any knife should be, these are great attributes.
