Opel sales are up 7-fold year-on-year in April.

New car sales in Türkiye continue to smash record after record this year, with April sales up a huge 62.7% year-on-year to 97,679 units. This is a new April all-time high volume, with a previous best dating back to 8 years ago and the 91,602 units of April 2015. This adds up to 333,650 units year-to-date, also a record over this period, up 57.3% year-on-year. Fiat (+91.9%) once again beats the market but its market share is well below its YTD level at 17.1% vs. 19.9%. In contrast Renault (+37.8%) is relatively weak in context but posts a stellar 12.6% share vs. 9.7% so far this year. Renault leaps to #2 in the YTD charts, overtaking Ford (+24.8%). Volkswagen (+22.9%) is also lukewarm but climbs to #4 YTD. Opel (+619.2%) and Peugeot (+297.8%) score indecent performances and rank #5 and #6 respectively. Mercedes (+143.8%) and Dacia (+78.2%) also shine in the remainder of the Top 10.
