Perth supercar homeowners group as much as supply sick children a particular journey

A group of 12 supercar owners in Perth are gearing up to offer “supercar therapy” for kids battling “critical illnesses”.

Lamborghinis, Ferraris, and McLarens – among others – will be out in force as part of the first Driven Project event to take place outside of North America. They’ll be driving around Perth, and on a racetrack with their “superhero co-pilot children” in the passenger seat.

The event is backed by the Perth Children’s Hospital Foundation, WA Police, the Driver Risk Management team, and The Lee Collection from Laurence Escalante.

“The goal of the Driven Project is simple – to provide remarkable kids going through unimaginable difficulties with one of the best days of their lives,” said Kevin Gordon, founder of The Driven Project.

“As we’ve seen time and time again over the past five years, giving these kids an often once in a lifetime experience like driving in an amazing supercar as part of a day out with other kids and their families produces invaluable outcomes, such as improved mental health.”

Laurence Escalante says “it was a no brainer to support such a worthy cause”.

“Although I can’t imagine what these kids and their families are going through, family is incredibly important to me and being able to help give these brave kids some joy is a privilege,” he said.
