Peugeot 2008 best-seller for the primary time – Greatest Promoting Vehicles Weblog

The Peugeot 2008 is the best-selling vehicle in Finland in July.

New car sales in Finland advance 9.4% year-on-year in August to 7,666 units, bringing the year-to-date volume up 9.3% to 60,076. Toyota (+10.9%) remains on top of the brands ranking albeit with a shy 14.8% share vs. 17.2% so far this year. The performer of the month is Peugeot (+92.2%) surging from #10 in July to #2 tis month with 9.4% of the market vs. 2.9% year-to-date. Kia (+17.1%) stays in third position while Skoda (-2.5%) falls two spots on last month to #4. Tesla (+755.2%) stuns once again and advances to #6 with 7.5% vs. #7 and 6.1% year-to-date. Audi (+26.6%) is the last gainer in the Top 10 just as Volvo (-10.1%), Mercedes (-13%) and Volkswagen (-18%) all struggle.

Model-wise, there is a big surprise on top: the Peugeot 2008 (+213.3%) becomes the best-selling vehicle in Finland for the first time with a splendid 8.6% share. It already ranked #8 in July, and #3 in August 2022 which shows traditional strong summers for the model but this is nevertheless a fantastic achievement which could be due to offers on the outgoing pre-facelift model. If you live in Finland and have an explanation for this performance please comment on this article. The Tesla Model Y (+581.8%) is equally impressive in 2nd place but remains below the Toyota Corolla (+87.9%) in the year-to-date order. The Toyota RAV4 (+30.5%) and Volvo XC60 (+126.4%) ensure the entire Top 5 models brilliantly outpace the market.
