Welcome to today’s Photo of the Day! Here we have a really neat and forgotten Benelli handgun. This is the Benelli Model B76. The Benelli Model B76 is an inertia-driven pistol which is a ridiculous notion as far as most modern mechanisms compare. These pistols were part of a whole B-series family and its bigger siblings were actually pretty effective competition and target-shooting guns. These guns are sort of a mystery in that there is no huge confirmation on why the company decided to produce them other than…they could. Like most companies, it could very well have been for military contracts but the Benelli Model B76 is a complicated and expensive gun so in the military and police category it never really went anywhere. these tended to be picky guns since they relied on inertia to function but that did not stop them from being a go-to completion pistol.
